Missing Mandy

Our dog died of cancer about a year ago. Her last days were spent accompanying me while I started on this piece and completed another. 

I remember how Mandy would seemingly stare at the canvas as if in rapturous admiration, tilting her head to one side as if listening intently to my conversation with my canvas whenever I hit a block and pondered solutions. She even responded with understanding whimpers. I guess, though pretty blind and deaf, she could sense my vibes. 

My recent attempt at resuscitating this piece resulted in a total wipe-out.....
