Good Morning Yesterday

Mementos: "Good Morning" kitchen towel, Oxford pocket dictionary that my husband won as a school prize for excelling in English language, roses that I received, and my daughter's teddy that's now mine.

The painting is now hers.

Missing Mandy

Our dog died of cancer about a year ago. Her last days were spent accompanying me while I started on this piece and completed another.

I remember how Mandy would seemingly stare at the canvas as if in rapturous admiration, tilting her head to one side as if listening intently to my conversation with my canvas whenever I hit a block and pondered solutions. She even responded with understanding whimpers. I guess, though pretty blind and deaf, she could sense my vibes.

My recent attempt at resuscitating this piece resulted in a total wipe-out.....

At the casino, you'd better buckle down, reign yourself in-- or else!

Tropical senses in Hua Hin

Evason Hua Hin resort and Six Senses hideaway.
Acrylic sketch

Hua Hin in Thailand, the land of natural beauty and warm and gracious people, is one delightful place to recharge from the hustle and bustle of city living. Being less accessible than some other Southeast-Asian getaways the resorts here are far less crowded, far more restful.

With the sun, sand and sea, invigorating Thai cuisine and massages, head-to-toe spa treatments, a private courtyard to soak up more vitamin D, or bathe in aromatic botanicals while counting the stars above... you'll be sorry to leave.

But as a Thai would gently say, MaiPenrai -- never mind... 'cos you'll be back.
